Sebastian is a Professor of Quantum Computing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Sussex. He has authored numerous publications in the field including the world’s first blueprint for constructing a large-scale trapped-ion quantum computer, opening a path for this technology to unlock the many world changing applications that will change the world for the better. His research interests also include the development of quantum sensors where notable achievements include a quantum sensor with record sensitivity in the ultra-low frequency range. Sebastian is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Universal Quantum, a company building transformational quantum computers that will help humanity solve some of its biggest challenges.
